We are one of the very few educational institutions in Bulgaria, holding a license from the Maritime Administration to conduct courses for ship’s cook and to issue an internationally recognized certificate.
According to the International Maritime Labour Convention and the Order 118/2013, “Maritime Administration”, the position of a ”ship’s cook” can be occupied only by a properly qualified person holding a certificate of professional competence issued by the Executive Agency “Maritime Administration”. Only institutions, approved by the Maritime Administration should deliver trainings for obtaining such certificate.
Currently, we are one of the very few educational institutions in Bulgaria, holding a license by order № 3-324/07.10.2013 of the Executive Director of the “Maritime Administration”. Upon successful completion of our course, participants obtain an internationally recognized certificate for professional qualification “ship’s cook”.
The number of training hours to be covered can vary (between 191 and 484), depending on the prior obtained type of the cook qualification. The whole course can last up to 3 months. We deliver training in our modern facilities in Dobrich.
For course participants coming from other regions, we can provide an accommodation in a modern college dormitory.
We offer training in English or Bulgarian language, so foreign students coming from other countries to take part as well.
