Project Ref. No. BG16RFOP002-3.003-0001-C01/02.05.2018: „Raising the awareness and capacity of the Bulgarian enterprises to implement energy and resource efficiency activities and measures, and to create a business model supporting the energy savings obligation scheme and activities related to it”
The core objectives of the project included:
- Conducting seminars for energy consultants included in the register under Art. 60 of the Energy Efficiency Law in Bulgaria, in line with the methodological guidelines developed as well as representatives of enterprises, including SMEs (for more information: energy-training.eu/)
- Organizing and conducting training of energy efficiency managers according to BDS EN ISO 50001 in industrial enterprises, including SMEs (for more information: energy-management-training.eu/)
- Organizing and conducting information campaigns aiming to promote the implementation of the ESCO mechanism, the impact and benefits for individual consumers and the country’s economy as a whole by enhancing energy efficiency in industrial enterprises, market opportunities for energy efficiency measures and the use of energy from renewable sources, as well as the benefits of obtaining energy savings certificates (for more information: esco-campaings.eu/)
The main activities held in the project included:
- Organisation and implementation of seminars, conferences and informational campaigns
- Training and increasing the knowledge of the consultants in the field of energy development
- Training and development of the qualifications of employees responsible for energy efficiency management in enterprises and industrial systems
- Promoting the application of the ESCO mechanism: for more efficient and effective use of public resources, it is necessary to stimulate market principles for the implementation of energy efficiency measures within the enterprises
- Thematic provision of events’ implementation
- Logistical support of the events’ implementation
